With The Stranger‘s Club typically being open during the week to members, the entire building can be offered for exclusive hire at weekend and evenings – perfect for hosting a celebration like a wedding or birthday.

Food and drink options can be tailored to suit, with our excellent chefs willing to provide tasting menus and drink pairings in advance.

Private car parking is also available, and included, with hire of the club.

Strangers' Club has an excellent chef and front of house team, offering a selection of menus and food options to both Members (looking to book the club for their event) and those looking to use our facilities. We offer a Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum menu package - with a wide range of options to choose from.

A Unique Venue

Located in a Grade 2* Listed Building, The Strangers Club is a characterful unique historic building, offering endless charm, making it an excellent choice for hosting all manner of events.

With a variety of rooms, and areas, the building and offering of The Strangers Club is versatile, suiting parties, wedding breakfasts, talks, conferences and business meetings – to name a few.

Throughout the building high speed fibre broadband and Wi-Fi is available, suitable for presentations and business-related events.

Elm Hill

As mentioned, Elm Hill is a beautiful part of Norwich – regularly filmed and included in period films and TV. Elm Hill makes the perfect back drop to an intimate event.

Ideal for Events

The first floor of the Strangers' Club offers the Augustine hall, it's a large period room ideal for hosting speakers, presentations and networking events. The hall can also be configured for dining, whether organised as individual tables for paired wine tasting or long tables for banquet style dinners.

    Augustine Hall
    Located on the first floor, there’s an extensive characterful room featuring Tudor timbers and traditional windows. Following our recent renovation, the room hosts up to 40 people seated for lunch or dinner.

    Queen’s Room
    Off the Strangers’ Room, the Queen’s Room is an intimate space lined with books. It offers a large table, suited to meetings, presentations and tastings.

  • Dining Presidents

    President’s Room
    Offering an intimate dining experience, the President’s Room is typically used for club dining where all members gather for lunch. It’s well apportioned room with air conditioning, ideal for summer and winter months.

    The outside courtyard terrace can be used for welcome drinks, dining and BBQs. Patio heaters and large parasol, makes the terrace inviting from late spring to early autumn.
